Giving Your Valentine the Gift of Life Insurance

By February 14, 2017September 13th, 2019No Comments

Not exactly a gift in a beautiful box filled with a sugary goodie tied with a bow on it right?  While life insurance many not be what you would typically consider a gift; statistics show a third of people wish their spouse or partner had life insurance or wish they had more of it.  Have you had an open conversation with your spouse or partner about life insurance?

Life insurance is not something people like to talk about.  As an insurance agent I feel a deep moral obligation to make sure my clients are protected.  I feel it is my job to make sure you have all the information you need to make the best decision for your family.  That moral obligation outweighs being uncomfortable discussing death.  I would rather have a slightly uncomfortable conversation with a client now than receive a phone call from a spouse asking me if their spouse had life insurance.  Over our 17 years in business we have had the awful experience of receiving calls like that more often than we would like.

During the month of all things L-O-V-E take a few minutes to reflect on your life insurance.  Think about if you have enough to make your family comfortable during what will be a very trying time.  Consider if you need additional information to make a really good decision about what you do have or may purchase.  Above all else, lean on O’Connor Insurance as a resource for information you need.  Here are a few blogs that may provide you with some info to get you started – then reach out to us when you need more info.  That is what we are here for.
