Attention: Erie Insurance Clients Do You Have A Road Trip Planned?

By June 23, 2016September 13th, 2019No Comments

Are you insured with Erie Insurance Group? If you are take a look at your declaration policy and see if you have Roadside Assistance on your cars.ย  The coverage is very inexpensive on both personal and business policies.ย  If you have it put this information in a safe place for future reference.ย  Erie Insurance has enhanced the towing coverage.ย  If you have towing or roadside assistance on your policy, you can call Erie Roadside Assistance and have a tow truck ordered for you.ย If you don’t see it give us a call to add it.

Here is how it works. Last month I had to use the towing service and it gave me a great opportunity to check it out for myself.ย  I called the 800# and gave my policy number.ย  The operator confirmed I had coverage and contacted a towing company.ย  He ask my permission to text me when the tow truck was assigned to me.ย  Then he told me I would get a call when the tow truck was in route.ย  In about 20 minutes I got a text from Erie Insurance and then just after that a call from the tow service.ย  I was told an expected arrival time.ย  The tow truck driver called me again when he was in route to update his arrival time.ย  All in all it took about an hour but it was a very smooth and easy process.

If your vehicle is disabled and needs to be towed, you run out of gas,ย or if you lock yourself out of the car and you have this coverage on your vehicle, simply call 1-800-367-3743 and select option 5. It is helpful if you have your policy number ready but not necessary.
